Contact

John Emison (b. 1987, New Orleans) is an artist, educator, and art worker based in Los Angeles. His practice includes sculpture, drawing, painting, and video, often in the form of subtle alterations, shifts of register, and added information. 

He studied at Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University (MFA 2014), Brandeis University, and Colgate University (BA 2009). His work has been shown in galleries and institutions including MIM Gallery (Los Angeles), Spring Break  (Los Angeles), Ms Barbers (Los Angeles), Central Park (Los Angeles), Tiger Strikes Asteroid (Los Angeles), ICA Philadelphia, and 808 Gallery at Boston University.
